For the first time, greenValue carried out due diligence for a planned biogas investment on behalf of an international investor.

Utilities, private and institutional investors are the driving forces in the expansion and use of renewable energies. “Sustainable commitment knows no limits. However, knowledge of local regulations is a crucial factor for a successful investment. With our holistic approach to project appraisal, we were able to give the client essential input for his further decisions,” states Daniel Kellermann, Managing Director of greenValue GmbH.

Since its founding, greenValue has supported around 15 energy projects as a project manager, primarily in the areas of photovoltaics and biogas – with and without biogas processing – in the construction phase. A medium double-digit number of projects were examined as part of due diligence mandates. “The core task of every project review is the identification of business risks on the cost and revenue side, in contracts, approvals and technical matters. In many cases, the collaboration takes place with the client’s consultants,” says Daniel Kellermann.

As demand for green electricity, biomethane, especially from waste and animal residues, and green hydrogen continues to rise, greenValue is well positioned as a partner for implementation.
