greenValue GmbH (opm) – Torgelow biogas plant supported by greenValue starts feeding in biomethane<\/strong><\/p>\n

greenValue, the information and consulting company based in Schwaig near Nuremberg, has now successfully brought the fourth biomethane feed-in project online to serve the UDI Group. After reaching full load, the Torgelow project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has an hourly feed-in capacity of 700 Nm\u00b3 of biomethane.<\/p>\n

The project owner and client is the Nuremberg-based UDI Group, which, in addition to offering sustainable investments, has also implemented various renewable energy projects and operates, among other things, five biomethane feed-in plants. The project in Torgelow was supported by greenValue from the groundbreaking ceremony to the first biomethane injection as part of the transferred project management. The required substrates were also acquired in collaboration with the client’s team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the fourth biomethane injection plant, we have successfully implemented the next project in the 16th year of our existence. The key competence lies in the coordination of the parties involved and covers all facets of the biogas project business. As a result of the work, timely commissioning and cost compliance can be recorded,\u201d explains Daniel Kellermann, Managing Director of greenValue GmbH.<\/p>\n

At the Torgelow site, renewable raw materials are fermented into biogas. The biogas is then refined into biomethane using the proven physical pressure washing and fed into the gas network as bionatural gas. According to Kellermann, the advantage is obvious: \u201cBio natural gas can be stored and can be converted into electricity and heat at the point of need or used as fuel.\u201d<\/p>\n

The heat for heating the fermenter is generated with wood chips. The planned photovoltaic system is innovative \u2013 it will generate around 15% of the electricity required for the biogas production and biogas processing plant. Once the remaining construction work has been completed, the project will be put into regular operation. \u201cWith competent construction partners, a close relationship with agricultural contractual partners and professional technical and commercial management, the conditions for a successful operation have been created,\u201d summarizes Daniel Kellermann.<\/p>\n

UDI supports customers nationwide in direct sales quickly and effectively. The equity capital of almost 520 million euros brokered to date, together with the debt capital, has enabled the construction of 383 wind turbines, 46 biogas plants as well as 90 solar projects and one green property. The green electricity generated annually can already supply over 1.8 million people with environmentally friendly energy. This mathematically saves the environment around 1.6 million tons of carbon dioxide every year.<\/p>\n
