Compared to the previous edition, chapters on investments in green buildings and portfolio funds have been added, among other things. In addition to investments in KG funds, a specialist article \u201cMezzanine Capital\u201d is dedicated to fixed-interest securities, which include, for example, profit participation rights. \u201cWith the editorial contributions from 15 providers, it was possible to incorporate additional expert knowledge from practice into the guide,\u201d explains author Daniel Kellermann.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the discussions about the expansion of renewable energies and the phase-out of nuclear energy, green investments are increasingly in demand from investors and intermediaries. &#8220;If you as an investor want to invest your capital sensibly and responsibly, green investments offer a wide variety of investment opportunities,&#8221; says Daniel Kellermann and adds: &#8220;Fluctuations like those on international stock exchanges generally do not occur with these entrepreneurial investments. In addition, legal support mechanisms increase security for many funds.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The guide begins with the foreword by Prof. Dr. Hans-J\u00f6rg Bullinger, President of the Fraunhofer Society and is again divided into four areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Part A<\/strong> \u201cSocial Background\u201d addresses the development of the energy market and the regulations of the Renewable Energy Act (EEG). A look at selected European countries explains the remuneration regulations that apply there.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part B<\/strong> &#8220;Technical Background&#8221; describes the forms of energy production from wind power, solar energy at home and abroad, biogas and biomass as well as geothermal energy. The development of offshore wind energy projects is also discussed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part C<\/strong> \u201cPersonal Commitment and Personal Gain\u201d illustrates how closed energy funds work using the example of a solar fund. The section covers the legal and tax implications of an investment in a very condensed form. This part also includes the introduction of portfolio funds and investments in green buildings. The article \u201cMezzanine Capital\u201d is dedicated, among other things, to profit participation rights, profit participation certificates and silent partnerships.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part D<\/strong> &#8220;Appendix&#8221; concludes the guide with an overview of important links on the Internet, numerous contact addresses for providers and 30 company presentations from well-known initiators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The \u201cGuide to Environmental and Renewable Energy Investments\u201d is primarily aimed at private investors who want to obtain neutral and independent information about investments.
